Open Studio del Fashion Revolution

The Fashion Revolution campaign, founded by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro, arose after the terrible accident of the collapse of the building in Rana Plaza in Dhaka Bangladesh where 1138 people died.

Over the past four years, Fashion Revolution has shown brands the growing consumer demand for transparency in the supply chain. More than 2 million people participated all over the world in April last year. From April 24 to 27, MANTO joined the Open Studio proposal with the intention of telling and showing who we work and we are part of MANTO. We were giving talks, showing videos, photos and doing Workshops to show the productive and creative process.

This event was part of the global agenda of the Fashion Revolution Open Studio 2018.

At the opening of the festival, together with manto abrigos and other reknown sustainable names, we will put together a moving piece at the british embassy with the purpose of generating consciousness on the topic of sustainable textile design.  We want to show how fashion can be conscious, inclusive and ethical.

Manto: the threads that connect us.

Our coats communicate the value of an ancestral textile knowledge, hand made, with pure natural fibres in a sensitive dialogue with the urban design and its contrasts.  By clara de la torre, brand founder
